OpenWolf Terms of Service

Effective date: July 4, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of OpenWolf (the "Service"), a family caregiving application that consolidates a patient's appointment information into a shared family calendar. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Service Does

OpenWolf collects appointment-related information from sources that an authorized user connects — such as email accounts, text-message forwarding, and patient portal APIs (e.g., health systems' FHIR patient-access APIs) — and presents that information on a consolidated calendar for family caregiving purposes. The Service is read-only with respect to health records: it does not create, modify, or delete any information in any healthcare provider's systems.

2. Eligibility and Authorization

The Service is intended for private, personal, and family use. You may only connect accounts and data sources that you own or that you are legally authorized to access — for example, as a patient accessing your own records or as an authorized proxy or caregiver for a family member. You are responsible for ensuring you have that authorization before connecting any source.

3. Not Medical Advice; Verify With Your Provider

The Service organizes scheduling information. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Appointment information displayed by the Service is derived from automated processing of emails, messages, and portal data, and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Always confirm appointment details directly with the healthcare provider. Do not rely on the Service as your sole record of medical appointments.

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree to keep your account credentials secure, to promptly disconnect any data source you no longer wish to share, and to use the Service only for lawful, personal caregiving purposes.

5. Privacy

Our collection and use of information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of the Service shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any missed, cancelled, or rescheduled appointments, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and disconnect your data sources at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time. Upon termination, connected data sources are disconnected and stored data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL, with its effective date noted above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
